The Calendar portlets display the events, milestones, and tasks for the projects The common workspace for members working together on a project. you selected in the Project Explorer (your selection is listed in the My Projects portlet) or projects that the community manager selected for the community. If you synchronized the Calendar with Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino, the Calendar will also include events from Outlook or Lotus Notes.

To create a new event,
in the action bar click New
Event and complete the New
Event page.
To edit the properties of an existing event, right-click
it and—from the context menu—select Edit
Event.
To delete an existing event, right-click it and—from
the context menu—select Delete
Event.
The calendar displays icons that represent the nature of the items. To view the details of a calendar item, click its name or icon.

An event can include such things as company meetings and other happenings that are of interest to project users and may impact work on a project. |

A meeting created in Outlook or Lotus Notes. A meeting is different from an appointment in that it has multiple attendees; whereas appointments are Outlook or Lotus Notes events that involve only yourself, such as a vacation. |

You can select the calendar items to display by using the filters on the right side of the action bar. You can also switch from your current view to the daily view by clicking the date for which you want to see more detailed information.

Select whether you want the portlet to display only calendar items of a particular project or calendar items from all projects (that are listed in your My Projects portlet or the Community Projects portlet). |

Applies to tasks only. To view only tasks assigned to you, select Tasks from the All Calendar Items drop-down list and click View | My Tasks Only. |
View | Tasks Across Multiple Days |
Applies to tasks only. To view tasks that traverse multiple days, select Tasks from the All Calendar Items drop-down list and click View | Tasks Across Multiple Days. The Calendar highlights the entire span of the task (from the start date to the end date) with a bar. |
View | Outlook Events |
Outlook only. The Calendar displays Outlook events in addition to the calendar item you selected in the All Calendar Items drop-down list. For example, if you selected Tasks from the drop-down list and clicked View | Outlook Events, the Calendar displays Collaboration tasks and Outlook events. |
View | Lotus Notes Events |
Lotus Notes only. The Calendar displays Lotus Notes events in addition to the calendar item you selected in the All Calendar Items drop-down list. For example, if you selected Tasks from the drop-down list and clicked View | Lotus Notes Events, the Calendar displays Collaboration tasks and Lotus Notes events. |
View | Action Bar Layout |
View the menu in a single or dual action bar. The portlet simply splits the buttons into two action bars or converges the buttons into a single action bar. Note: Only Community Managers can change the action bar layout in community portlets. |
