For step-by-step instructions on how to send manual notification e-mails and notification links, see Sending Notifications.
You can send a manual notification e-mail for any reason by using the Collaboration Notification E-mail Editor. For more information, see Notification E-mail.
Automatic Notification E-mails
The system can send an automatic notification e-mail to users who are subscribed to Collaboration objects. This type of notification e-mail is triggered by a notification event. Users must be subscribed to the object relevant to the notification event to receive notification e-mails about that object. For more information about notification events, their relevant objects and links to documentation that describes where to subscribe to each object, see About Notification Events. For more information on managing existing subscriptions, see Subscriptions.
A notification link is a system-generated URL that you can send to recipients of your choosing. You can cut and paste a notification link into your e-mail editor (such as Microsoft Outlook). For more information, see Notification Link.
You can also access the URL of a document's notification link by selecting the document, then clicking Show Notification Link below the details pane action bar for the document.
