You can create a shortcut to a file. Rather than uploading multiple copies of the file to different projects, you can upload a single copy to a project and refer to it from other projects with shortcuts. When the file to which the shortcut is referring is deleted, the shortcut is automatically removed. When users who do not have security rights to the file click its shortcut, they will be denied access.

Optional. Type no more than 1,000 characters to describe the shortcut. The description appears in the heading of the details pane Lower right section of the application view. You can view details and descriptions (if provided) of items selected in the table pane. You can also perform various actions, such as notifying others about the document you uploaded or subscribing to a discussion. when the shortcut is selected in the table pane Upper right section of the application view. The table pane displays all objects contained in the node you selected in the navigation tree. You can also view detailed information about the objects in the table pane by selecting the check box next to the item. Detailed information appears on the details pane.. |
Project |
To select the project where you want to place the shortcut, click Browse. After you have selected the project, click Finish in the Choose a Project dialog box. |
Folder |
To select the folder where you want to place the shortcut, click Browse . After you have selected the folder, click Finish in the Choose a Folder dialog box. |
