Creating Events

You can create an event such as a project meeting in your Calendar. Events can occur once, or they can occur in intervals of days, weeks, or months.

To create an event:

  1. In the Calendar application view or portlet, click New Event.
    The Event Editor appears.

  2. Only available when creating an event from the Calendar portlet. From the Project drop-down list, choose the project for which you are creating the event.

  3. In the Name box, type no more than 100 characters to name the event.

  4. As an optional step, in the Description box, type no more than 1,000 characters to describe the event.

  5. In the Start Date box, if you want to change the start date, perform one of the following:

  1. From the Occurs drop-down list, select one of the following:

  2. As an optional step, if you want the recurrence to end, select End by and perform one of the following:

  1. As an optional step, in the Location box, type the location where the event will occur.

  2. As an optional step, if you do not want the event to inherit the security settings of the project, you can customize this event's security by performing the procedure described in the Security topic.

  1. Click Finish.
