As a Project Leader, you can post announcements that appear in the Overview of the Collaboration application view and the Announcements portlet. Project Members or Project Guests cannot respond to announcements; announcements are simply a way to convey important news to all project users.
To create an announcement:
Perform one of the following:
From the Announcements portlet, click .
The New Announcement dialog box appears.
From the Overview application view page, click
.
The New Announcement dialog box appears.
Only necessary if you are creating an announcement from the Announcements portlet. From the Project drop-down list, select the project in which you want to create the announcement.
In the Announcement Body box, type no more than 2,000 characters for the text of your announcement.
As an optional step, format your announcement by using the Editor Toolbar.
Indicate the nature of the announcement by selecting one of the following:
Action Required
Information
Warning
High Importance
Low Importance
No Image: Normal
Click Finish.
