Search Results

This topic discusses working with the results of searches that you perform from within a project, rather than from the My Project Search or Project Search portlets.

The Search Results page displays a list of objects that match your search criteria, plus the search results in aggregated form.  Your search text appears as bold within the individual search results. To open an individual object in the individual search results list, click on its hypertext.

Filtering Search Results

You can filter your search by clicking on the aggregated results that appear above the individual search results list. For example, if 96 individual items appear in the search results list, and two of those items are of type Discussions, then a Discussions icon appears with a 2 next to it. You can click on the Discussions icon to view a list of only these two discussions.

Personal Project Items in Search Results

Search results contain only items from your own personal project, and do not contain items from other users' personal projects.

Performing Another Search

If your search did not return the desired items, you can perform an entirely new search, or narrow your search by searching only within the search results.

To perform a search from the Search Results page:

  1. Choose the type of search from the Search drop-down list:

  1. Enter a text string in the Search Text field.

  1. Choose the desired language or All Languages from the Languages drop-down list.

If the desired language does not appear in the Languages drop-down list, choose
Show More to select from a larger list of languages.

  2. Choose the desired category or All Categories from the Categories drop-down list.

  3. Press Enter.
