Customize View

The Customize View Editor lets you configure display settings for:

Columns and action bar buttons in the following My/Community portlets: Announcements, Discussions, Documents, Tasks, Projects.
Only Community Managers can configure display settings for community portlets.
Columns in the following My/Community application view pages: Discussions, Documents, Tasks.

Click Finish after you have configured the following:

Columns Tab

Not available in My/Community Announcements portlets.

Before configuring the Columns tab, perform the following:

My/Community Tasks portlets and Tasks Application View only. In the first drop-down list, select whether you want to edit the display of columns for task lists or tasks.
My/Community Discussions portlets and Discussions Application View only. In the first drop-down list, select whether you want to edit the display of columns for discussions or messages.

Setting	Description
Hidden Columns	Select the columns that you want to make visible.
Add ->	Available after you have selected columns under Available Columns. Click to make the selected columns visible.
<- Remove	Available after you have selected columns under Visible Columns. Click to hide the selected columns.
Visible Columns	Select the columns that you want to hide.
Default sort column	Select the column by which the portlet or application view data is sorted by default. The sort column can be changed temporarily by clicking on the column name within the portlet or application view. The sort column reverts to the default at the next browser session.
Default sort order	Select Ascending or Descending to set the default sort order for the portlet or application view data. The sort order can be changed temporarily by clicking on the name of the column within the portlet or application view (the up or down arrow next to the name denotes the sort order). The sort order reverts to the default at the next login.

Action Bar Buttons Tab

Not available in application views.

Setting	Description
Button Name	This column shows all of the buttons that you can display in the action bar.
Display Button	Select to make the button visible in the action bar.
Display Text	Available after you have selected a display button. Select to make the button's name visible in the action bar.
Display Separator	Available after you have selected a display button. Select to create one line immediately to the right of this button.

To display the page associated with this help topic, perform one of the following:
