Uploading Documents

You can upload files to Collaboration, thereby making them available for viewing and editing.

Uploading a Single File

To upload a single file:

  1. From the Documents portlet or Documents application view page, click Upload.
    The Upload dialog box appears.

  2. If you are uploading from the Documents portlet, perform the following:

  3. From the Language drop-down list, select the language of the file content.
    You can specify a language that is different than the language of your project. Collaboration uses the language information when indexing your file for searching.

  4. Click Browse.
    The Choose File dialog box appears.

  5. Navigate to the file that you want to upload, then click Open.
    You are returned to the Upload dialog box.

  6. Click Upload.

  7. Click Close.

Uploading Multiple Files or Folders

You must have the Bulk Upload to Collaboration activity right to upload multiple files.

Note: Before performing this procedure, make sure all of the files or folders that you want to upload exist either in the same directory, or on the desktop of your personal computer.

To upload multiple files or folders:

  1. Perform one of the following:

  1. If you are uploading from the Documents portlet, perform the following:

  3. Click Browse.
    The Select Files and Folders to Upload dialog box appears. Navigate to the files or folders that you want to upload.

  4. Press the CTRLkey and click the mouse to select each file or folder that you want to upload.

  5. Click Select.
    You are returned to the Upload dialog box.

  6. Click Upload.
    A confirmation dialog box appears.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Click Close.
